Quote of the Week
My deepest hope is that my writing can be a stone tossed into still waters growing big circles.—Florencia Ramirez
This quote comes from “Writing for Change, Activism and Writing,” a talk Florencia Ramirez gave at the AROHO Retreat. Florencia advocates for water conservation in the book she’s writing, “Eat Less Water,” and on her blog by the same name, where she profiles organic farmers, explores the connection between water scarcity and food production, and offers recipes and tips on ways to “eat less water at your kitchen table.”
Florencia is an inspiring activist, writer, and speaker and was recently named the AROHO Gift of Freedom, Creative Nonfiction Finalist for 2013.
